Associate of Science Degrees (AS) provide you with a strong educational foundation before you enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college. Earn the Associate of Science degree if you are interested in a career in science, math, engineering and technology. Associate Degrees require 60 units, which include general education units, units in a major or interest area, electives and a one-unit science lab.
Earning a Certificate of Achievement gives you the knowledge and technical training needed for a specialized career. This can be a good option if you are exploring new careers, seeking professional advancement or upgrading credentials. Certificates of Achievement require a minimum of 16 units.
Earning a Skills Certificate allows you to develop career and technical skills in a short amount of time. Learn new skills in preparation to enter a new field or upgrade skills to advance in your existing job. Skills Certificates require fewer than 16 units.
