This course introduces the core principles and practices essential for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Certification in First Aid and CPR (in-person only)
Passing a criminal background check and abuse registry check
Providing a vaccination record
High school completion or enrollment in the final semester

ALH 30 (Registered Behavioral Technician) – 5 units/credits
- Gain essential knowledge in: Measurement and documentation reporting, assessments and skill acquisition, behavior reduction strategies, professional conduct and ethical responsibilities, and decision-making protocols.
- Career readiness: Craft your resume, cover letter and reference page for mock interviews and career success.
ALH 31 (Registered Behavioral Technician Clinical Practicum – 0.5 units/credits
- Gain hands-on experience as a Behavior Technician in a professional setting.
- Supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Program Specialist.
- Complete 40 hours of practical work during normal business hours.
- Focus areas include: Behavior documentation, assessments, skill acquisition, behavior reduction and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
