Support Endow-a-Bed
Learn How You Can Support This Initiative
Sierra College’s affordable student housing is now open with 354 beds available for full-time students with the highest financial need, with rent as low as $550 per month for income-eligible students. While the housing is open, philanthropic support remains essential to helping students succeed.
Donors Can Support Students in Three Impactful Ways

Endow-a-Bed
Endow a bed with a $250,000 philanthropic investment that provides free room and board, in perpetuity, for one student each year. You may also contribute to our endowment pooled fund to help make this opportunity possible.

Housing Scholarship
For donors who are looking to make an immediate and meaningful impact, a $10,000 commitment provides a one-year room and board scholarship for a student—meeting an urgent need while freeing up a student to focus on their educational goals.

Meal Plan Program
Support the meal plan program to ensure students have access to nutritious meals and the stability they need to focus on their education.
Sierra College Foundation is Working to Endow Beds
Nine Beds Down, More to Go!
To date, nine beds have been endowed. Thank you to the following for leading the charge:
- Associated Students of Sierra College
- Elizabeth Kinstler Trust
- Frederick G Sahlberg Living Trust
- Mikuni Charitable Organization
- 2024 Taste of Excellence Attendees
- 2025 President Circle Gala Attendees
- 2024 Sierra College Foundation Board
- Sutter Health
- Individual Community Donors

While $550 per month may be considered affordable in our region – there are students who cannot pay.
