CommUnity
Welcome to CommUnity at Sierra College
Dream. Defy the Odds. Do!
Dream about your future while honoring the cultures, identities, and experiences that make you who you are. Defy the odds by believing in yourself, drawing strength from your roots, and leaning on your community when challenges arise. Do—use your voice, pursue your goals, and create the future you want. CommUnity celebrates who you are and supports where you’re going.
CommUnity has helped me find a true sense of belonging. It has given me a space where I can make mistakes, grow, and learn while still being met with grace, encouragement, and people who continue to cheer me on. Through this community, I’ve found my voice and learned that I deserve to take up space and be proud of who I am and what I have to offer.”Abri Humphrey, Umoja Student![]()

CommUnity has helped me in many ways. It was one of the main reasons I came back to college after leaving. Another student Peer Mentor brought me into the CommUnity Center, and it has been a place where I’ve felt a sense of security ever since.”
