Who Are the Patrons?
The Sierra College Patrons, a branch of Sierra College Foundation, are dedicated to promoting the Arts and Humanities and to providing cultural enrichment to the community. Proceeds from Patron-sponsored events, in the form of grants and scholarships, are awarded to Sierra College students in support of Arts and Humanities programs.
How to Become a Sierra College Patron
Membership dues are $40 per year. Lunches may be ordered for an additional fee. Members joining after January 1 pay a prorated amount. Fill out and submit our membership application.

Volunteer Opportunities
- Ridley Gallery: Serve as a weekly host
- Theatre and music productions: Serve as ushers
- Basic Needs Center: Provide donations of food, supplies and gift cards for students
Patrons Meetings and Events
Meetings
Patrons meet the first Monday each month (September to June; excluding holidays) at noon in the Library (LR-201) on the Sierra College Rocklin Campus. Meetings typically include lunch (for an additional fee), a business meeting, and a short program. View Rocklin Campus Map.

Awards and Scholarships
- Patrons provide more than $5,000 in grants to the Arts and Humanities Departments each year, emphasizing grants that directly affect students and faculty. Grant applications are due September 30.
- Patrons award two $500 scholarships each year.
- Patrons award $1,000 to students competing in the annual student art show.
- Patrons provide gift cards to be distributed to deserving students through the Student Services Program.
- Patrons award $1,000 to the Sierra College Veterans Program.
- Support the Standing Guard of Remembrance Garden.
What We’ve Accomplished
Since 1985, the Sierra College Patrons have raised more than $460,000 in support of Sierra College and its students. Notable contributions include but are not limited to:
- $37,000 for Dietrich Theatre improvements
- $21,800 for art works displayed on campus
- $21,000 to the Ridley Gallery
- $10,000 to support technology upgrades in many instructional areas.
- $8,000 for carillon bells
- $103,200 has been donated to the Aquatics Department through joint participation in the annual Crab and Shrimp Feed.
Lifetime Members
This honor is bestowed on a member who has made a significant, positive impact on Patrons.
- Jonelle Hansen – A charter member and Treasurer for many years.
- Marge Sanchez – A founding member, past president and extremely active
- Tommie Moller – A past president and contributed many pieces of her artwork for fund raisers. Served in many ways. Instrumental in Patrons being a part of the Gallery.
- Joan Edwards – An early member, past president and Hospitality chairman for many years. Active on Crab Feed Committee and other activities.
