Celebrating LatinXJoy and Heritage Month at Sierra College

If you happened to be near the amphitheater on the Rocklin campus on Tuesday, October 5, you were in for a treat with the first in-person campus-wide Sierra College Student Engagement Centers (SECs) event in 19 months.

In celebration of Latine/x/a/o Heritage Month, our Puente Club , Baila Sierra Baila Club, and the Student Engagement Centers came together to “hold space“ and invite #LatinxJoy through audience generated playlists, Campus Celebrity demos, and tacos catered by Pacific Dining. Gracias to the 100+ who showed up, enjoyed a taco and danced/cheered on the Macarena, Merengue, and Caballo Dorado in community.
