Providing Non-Perishable Food for Students

The Food Pantry is open to all Sierra College students experiencing food insecurity regardless of income. The Food Pantry’s stock consists of non-perishable items such as cereal, canned goods, pasta, peanut butter, etc.

  • Monday-Thursday: 12pm- 4pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-12:30pm
  • Closed holidays and weekends.
Summer Semester Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 10am-3pm
Fall/Spring/Summer Semester Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am- 5:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-12pm (closed Fridays during the Summer)
  • Closed holidays and weekends
Fall/Spring Semester Hours:
  • Monday-Friday: 9am- 6:30pm
Summer Semester Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 9am-4pm

Food Pantry Process (Rocklin Campus Only):

  • Fill out a onetime Food Pantry form found in the Campus Life Office (L-193)
  • To sign into the Food Pantry, see a Student Ambassador
  • Food Pantry users are allocated 20 points if they have a reusable bag (backpack does not count). Otherwise, users are allocated 16 points.
  • Items in the Food Pantry vary in point value (0-3 points). Pads, tampons, and liners are 0 points. Please be considerate of other Food Pantry users when taking 0 point items.

The Food Pantry is always accepting donations. If you’d like to donate, please bring non-perishable items and/or toiletries to L-193. We can provide a donation receipt if requested.

Food Pantry Process (Nevada County Campus Only):

  • The Food Pantry is available to all currently enrolled students (no form or points). 
  • The Food Pantry is always accepting donations. They can be dropped off at the Counseling front desk.

Wolverine Meal Deal

Students can visit the Campus Life Office (L-193) on the Rocklin Campus or the Counseling Lobby (N1-208) at Nevada County Campus to pick up their voucher. One voucher per enrolled student per week.

  • Monday-Wednesday: 2:30-5:00pm
Fall/Spring Semester Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am- 5:30pm
  • The Wolverine Meal Deal only covers Pacific Dining’s value option menu. Students are responsible to pay for any extra items added to their meal (e.g. cheese, avocado…)
  • The voucher can be used toward breakfast, lunch or dinner value option menu items
  • The voucher must be used the week that it is issued. The expiration date will be stamped on the back of the voucher (vouchers always expire on a Thursday)
  • Voucher recipient information will be sent to Financial Aid and will be part of their aid package
  • Vouchers are not available during finals week or Summer semester

Food Pantry Student Liaisons

Food Pantry Student Liaisons are student leaders who are trained and knowledgeable about CalFresh and community services and resources. Food Pantry Student Liaisons are available to conduct short classrooms presentations about how to access food, support/resources on campus, and how to gain monthly food support through CalFresh. You may schedule an appointment to learn more about food options on campus by emailing calfresh-rocklin@sierracollege.edu or calfresh-ncc@sierracollege.edu.
